Maintenance free and built to last, this food grade polypropylene (hard plastic, not Styrofoam like some others) hive will be an asset to any beekeeper. Each box is blow-molded and injected with polyurethane foam (giving it a r value of 6!) so there are no seams or joints to weaken the plastic or for SHB’s to hide. The plastic is UV stable, antimicrobial, and resistant to chemicals such as oxalic acid. Designed with ease of use in mind, it features two sets of handles, one traditional recessed handle for moving a single box, or a larger protruding handle that allows you to move more than one box at a time without undoing the latches. Stainless steel latches secures each component to the next. Each box comes with latch kit installed. Holds 10 traditional langstroth frames.
