Whether you are requeening a hive, preparing splits or nucs, or just want to diversify your apiary's genetics, we bring in the highest quality queens that do well in Colorado's varied micro climates. Having genetic diversity in your apiary is important because different breeds will have different traits...if you plan on letting your bees raise their own queens, several nice queens already in your apiary will increase the quality of the drones the virgin queens mate with. Queens are typically available the end of April through August at the store in Colorado Springs, Colorado. We do not ship queens.
