The InstantVap Lite offers an affordable, reliable solution for beekeepers seeking high-quality oxalic acid vaporization without the need for larger, more expensive equipment. Perfect for those looking to balance performance and cost-efficiency.
As the colder months settle in, it’s crucial to ensure your bees are properly treated for varroa mites. Did you know that treating during lower brood periods results in more effective mite control? This is because fewer mites are protected under wax cappings, leaving them vulnerable to treatment.
While oxalic acid vapor (OA) works at any temperature, we generally recommend targeting one of those rare 50°F winter days. In Colorado, January and February often deliver a couple of these mild days amidst freezing temperatures. Slightly warmer air temps encourage bees to break cluster and move about the hive, increasing the treatment's effectiveness.
